You can touch all seven emirates in a long day. You should not. The better version is two or three days, with one night on the east coast and no obligation to collect stamps.
A useful shape: Dubai and Sharjah on the first morning, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain as the pause, Ras Al Khaimah for the mountain, Fujairah for the sea, Abu Dhabi on the way back when you want museums and a proper dinner.
Salik, petrol, and a downloaded offline map matter more than a perfect playlist. So does leaving one emirate un-rushed. The drive is the story. The stops are how you remember it.
Day one: leave before 07:00. Heart of Sharjah in the shade, Ajman Corniche for lunch, UAQ mangroves if you booked the first kayak slot. Sleep in RAK or on the east coast — not in Dubai if Fujairah is tomorrow.
Day two: Jebel Jais at sunrise or Fujairah water in the morning. Fort at midday. Mountains on the way to Abu Dhabi if traffic allows. Louvre late afternoon if you still have legs.
Day three: Qasr Al Hosn, Corniche walk, drive home before the corridor forgets you. Or skip Abu Dhabi and do Old Dubai on the last morning instead — that is a valid ending too.
What not to do: Thursday afternoon anywhere near Sharjah. Global Village in August. A “quick Fujairah swim” without a night’s sleep.
The country is smaller than it looks on paper and larger than it feels when you try to do all seven in one go. Pick three emirates properly. Call it a success.
